The story of Anni Brehme and Jasmin Flemming, known to GZSZ viewers as JasAnni, entered a new chapter in 2014 as the two women navigated the aftermath of their first kiss and the complications of Jasmin’s marriage to Kurt. The relationship between the lesbian sound engineer and the fashion designer became one of the most prominent same-sex storylines in the long-running German daily soap.

 

 

Anni Brehme, played by Linda Marlen Runge, first appeared in GZSZ in July 2013 as a new roommate in the shared apartment . Jasmin Flemming, portrayed by Janina Uhse, had been on the show since 2008 . At the time of Anni’s arrival, Jasmin was married to rock star Kurt .

The two characters initially clashed, but their relationship evolved from friendship into romantic attraction over several months . By early 2014, the tension between them had become a central storyline.

The Bet and the First Kiss

In March 2014, during a party for Nele, Jasmin and Anni engaged in a bet about whether Anni could get Jasmin into bed . As the bet reached its final night, Anni danced with Didi, which appeared to make Jasmin jealous.

Jasmin told Anni, ‘Du willst mich doch nur eifersüchtig machen’ .

When the bet ended, Jasmin was declared the winner. However, she soon became upset after watching Anni with Didi. Jasmin retreated to the bathroom, and Anni followed her. The two laughed together on the floor before sharing a passionate kiss .

The moment was interrupted when Dominik burst into the bedroom. Jasmin panicked and pulled away, telling Anni, ‘Anni, jetzt nicht sauer sein, ok. Das war Spaß’ . Anni responded bitterly, ‘Für mich aber nicht!’ .

Fallout from the Video Scandal

The tension between Anni and Jasmin intensified following a separate incident involving a sex video. In January 2014, Anni revealed to Kurt that Jasmin herself had uploaded an intimate video to the internet . Kurt left the apartment in anger.

Jasmin confronted Anni, saying, ‘Was fällt dir eigentlich ein? Willst du meine Ehe kaputt machen?’ .

Kurt later packed his belongings and headed to the train station with a one-way ticket to Los Angeles. Jasmin followed him, and the two argued publicly on the platform. Jasmin shouted, ‘Du hast mich betrogen. Du hast mich beschissen und ich hab’ dir immer verziehen. Und jetzt bau’ ich einmal Scheiße und jetzt willst du dich verpissen?!’ .

Growing Feelings and Denial

Despite the drama, Anni continued to think about Jasmin. In May 2014, the two worked together at the Mauerwerk, where the tension between them remained palpable . Alone in the storage room, they stood back to back and nearly kissed before David interrupted them.

Later, Jasmin spoke with Dominik on the toilet at Mauerwerk, and he questioned her about her sexual experiences with Anni. He asked, ‘Wie ist denn das so zwischen Frau und Frau? Heißt das denn jetzt, dass du nur noch auf Frauen stehst?’ .

Jasmin denied being lesbian, saying, ‘Nein, ich bin nicht lesbisch’ . She then had sex with Dominik in the storage room, a moment that Anni inadvertently witnessed .

By April 2016, Anni and Jasmin’s relationship was described as complicated, though the two were attempting to remain friends . They had been in a relationship for approximately one year before breaking up in June 2015 .
